Pyrolysis refers to the thermochemical decomposition process that converts organic matter (tires, rubber, plastics, sludge) into fuel oil, carbon black, and gases in an oxygen-deficient, high-temperature environment.

After pyrolysis, carbon black gets accumulated at the discharge pipe. How can we discharge the carbon black after pyrolysis efficiently and environmentally? The designs of DOING waste pyrolysis machines have demonstrated superiority in the market. Their advanced carbon black discharge design and environmental protection equipment—the carbon black collection system—not only improve production efficiency but also meet stringent environmental requirements.

DOING pyrolysis carbon black discharge design offers three methods: front discharge, side discharge, and rear discharge, ensuring smooth and reliable carbon black processing at different operating scales.

Front Discharge the Carbon Black after Pyrolysis

Front discharge refers to the collection of carbon black using a slag remover or sealed collection bag after the pyrolysis reaction is complete, the oil and gas are completely cooled, and the reactor temperature is cooled to 50°C.

Characteristic:

1.The installation and operation of the front discharge device are more convenient, and operators can easily understand and control it.

2.Sufficient time is available for cleaning and maintenance of the front discharge system during downtime.

3.Suitable for implementation in small-scale pyrolysis machine; for companies that want to build pyrolysis machine but have limited budgets, it can reduce overall production costs to some extent.

Note: Sealed collection is crucial, as loose collection bags are prone to leakage, and improper door opening may lead to flash explosions.

Side Discharge the Carbon Black after Pyrolysis

Side discharge refers to the process after the pyrolysis reaction is complete, the oil and gas have completely cooled, and the reactor temperature has dropped to 50°C, carbon black is discharged into the carbon black pool through a dedicated outlet on the side of the reactor, or collected with the assistance of a spiral carbon black residue collector.

Characteristic:

1.Discharges a large amount of carbon black in a relatively short time

2.Sufficient time is available for cleaning and maintenance of the side discharge system during downtime

3.Suitable for medium-sized pyrolysis units; ideal for companies with limited budgets and large processing capacities.

Rear Discharge the Carbon Black after Pyrolysis

The final discharge occurs at the reactor's downstream port using a combination of a discharge screw conveyor and a cooling device, while the carbon black is still at a high temperature. There are two main methods for post-discharge:

The first method involves directly discharging the carbon black, still at high temperature, into a cooling reactor via a screw conveyor after the pyrolysis reaction. A high-temperature ball valve then lowers the carbon black temperature to 50°C.

Characteristic:

1.No carbon black cooling is required; the next pyrolysis stage begins immediately after high-temperature discharge, saving cooling time and improving production efficiency.

2.Suitable for medium to large-sized pyrolysis units, ideal for companies with high budgets and high throughput.

The second method involves discharging carbon black as soon as it is produced during pyrolysis via a screw conveyor surrounded by a condensing jacket, ensuring it is discharged at near-room temperature.

Characteristic:

1.Continuous carbon black discharge without stopping production results in exceptionally high production efficiency.

2.Continuous material flow reduces the risk of blockage.

3.Suitable for large-scale pyrolysis units, ideal for companies with ample budgets and high throughput.

Note: This method requires more advanced technology; otherwise, leaks or blockages may occur.

Batch pyrolysis machine operates on a batch-cycle basis, and can be equipped with front-discharge, side-discharge, or rear-discharge slag removal. Semi-continuous pyrolysis machine features continuous feeding but periodic unloading, and can employ side-discharge or rear-discharge slag removal. Fully continuous pyrolysis machine operates 24/7 without interruption and uses rear-discharge slag removal.

DOING has customized emission options based on the diverse operational needs of its global clients. For example, Sri Lanka's batch tire pyrolysis machine is equipped with side discharge, India's batch plastic pyrolysis machine with rear discharge, Malaysia's semi-continuous sludge pyrolysis machine with side discharge, Vietnam's semi-continuous plastic pyrolysis machine with rear discharge, Brazil's semi-continuous tire pyrolysis machine with rear discharge, and the United States' fully continuous tire pyrolysis machine with rear discharge, etc. The specific slag removal method chosen depends primarily on your budget, plant size, and the raw materials being processed. For example, aluminum-plastic pyrolysis for producing aluminum ingots requires front discharge.
