How can we recycle car tires? What product can we make?

In our daily life, for recycling car tires, there are two main solutions: car tires to rubber powder and car tires to fuel oil. These two solutions use different machines and can obtain different products. 1. Car tires to rubber powder

Used equipment: To recycle car tires to rubber power, we need to use three main equipment:

(1) Steel wire drawing machine: separate steel wire from waste car tires automatically;

(2) Tire cutting machine: shred processed car tires into small pieces (usually 3 - 5cm sizes) for rubber powder processing line;

(3) Rubber powder processing machine: crush the small car tire pieces into rubber powder, the mesh can be customized based on the requirements of customers;

Obtained products: for this recycling solution, we can obtain rubber powder and steel wire. For rubber powder, it can be sold to pyrolysis plants for profits, or used in rubber products, as infill for synthetic sports fields, or mixed into asphalt; for steel wire, it can be sold directly for profits;

2. Car tires to fuel oil

Used equipment: to recycle car tires to fuel oil, we need to use the car tire pyrolysis machine, which adopts pyrolysis technology, a thermal degradation process conducted in the absence of oxygen.

Preparation: for semi-continuous and fully continuous pyrolysis machines, we need to shred car tires into smaller pieces to increase the surface area and improve the efficiency of the pyrolysis process.

Pyrolysis: The shredded or whole car tires are then fed into the pyrolysis reactor, which is heated to a high temperature (typically between 300°C to 500°C) in an inert atmosphere to prevent combustion. And then oil gas comes out.

Cooling: after going through the cooling system, the oil gas cools into liquid fuel oil;

Product Collection: finally, the car tires can be recycled into fuel oil, carbon black, steel wire and syn-gas;

Obtained products: for this recycling solution, we can obtain:

(1) Pyrolysis Oil: Also known as tire-derived fuel (TDF), this oil can be used as a fuel for industrial boilers, cement plant, steel plant, glass plant, or further refined into other petroleum products. It is often rich in aromatics and can be similar in composition to heavy fuel oil.

(2) Carbon black: carbon black can be used as a filler in rubber and plastic products or in the production of ink, paints, and plastics; and for its high calorific value of about 7000 kcal/kg, also can be used as heating fuels;

(3) Steel Wire: Most car tires contain steel wires for reinforcement. These wires are recovered during the pyrolysis process and can be sold to steel mills for recycling.

(4) Syn-gas: The gas produced can be used as a fuel to power the pyrolysis plant itself or sold as a low-grade fuel.
